“It does not do to dwell on dreams, and forget to live.” –Albus Dumbledore
At the age of seven I read Harry Potter, and I’ve never stopped reading since. I’ve found great friends in the YA and romance communities that have helped nurture my obsession voracious appetite for great reads.
I love fantasies and sci-fis and adventure—and anything that can give me a happy ending. That’s how I got drawn into the romance genre. My desperate need for a Happily Ever After.
Someday, I’ll finish and publish a book. I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember. The first was about fairies who lived inside a bowling ball; if we’re being honest, that’s the best part of it.
I write romances and fantasies because I love them and I want to write the book I’ve always wanted to read. I do write pretentious literary fiction for college classes, and I can tell you it’s not my thing.
But writing is all about trying new styles and techniques and finding the best way to express the words trapped inside your head. Which is why I carry a journal around and why I’m so excited for this blog! The experiment and gain experience.
If you like writing, or just reading, we’re happy you came to visit Witchlight.
